Description
No person shall give, either orally or in writing, information to a peace officer while in the performance of his duties when that person knows that the information is false. Violators may be charged with False Information to a Peace Officer.
What does the prosecutor have to prove?
1. Defendant gave either orally or in writing, information to a peace officer while in the performance of his duties.
2. Defendant knew the information to be false.

Misdemeanor: 0-180 days
