Right to Vote – Fourteenth Amendment

 
The United State Constitution, specifically, the Fourteenth Amendment, gives the states power to restrict a convicted criminal’s right to vote. The California Constitution deprives those persons either imprisoned or on parole, who have been convicted of any felony, of voting privileges.
