Description

Petty Theft is defined as a person who takes money or property with a value of $950 or less may be charged with misdemeanor petty theft.

What does the prosecutor have to prove?

1. Defendant stole or took or carried away property of another.
2. The value of the property taken was nine hundred fifty dollars ($950.00) or less.

Misdemeanor: 0-180 days
